Arsonist in Svetlogorsk district identified by burnt matches

Experts found a male genotype on the matches.

An attempted arson occurred in July in one of the settlements of the Svetlogorsk district, reported the State Committee of Forensic Examinations.

An unknown person tried to set fire to a residential building, but the fire extinguished itself before the rescuers arrived.

The smell of fuel and lubricants and burnt matches found near the house indicated deliberate arson. They were taken for examination.

Experts found a male genotype on the matches. It matched the sample of one of the people involved in the case.
