BATE devastatingly lost to the Swiss and leaves the Conference League
Borisov's BATE has finished its performance in this year's Conference League, losing to Swiss "Sion" by a devastating score of 1:5 on aggregate over two matches, reports Betnews.by.

Today in Sion, the Borisov team lost to the Swiss without any questions, with a score of 0:4.
Already in the 5th minute, Winsley Boteli scored the first goal, and in the 38th, Rilind Nivokazi doubled the lead. After the break, in the 58th and 68th minutes, Batata and Theo Berdaye scored two more goals and brought the score to a devastating level.
The score could have been even larger, as in the 62nd minute, the captain of the Swiss club Ali Kabakalman failed to convert a penalty — his shot was saved by BATE goalkeeper Danilo Sokol.
The first meeting between these teams ended in a draw — 1:1.
Thus, "Sion" advanced to the third qualifying round of the Conference League, where they will play against Armenian "Noah", who passed Moldovan "Zimbru". For BATE, this year's European cup season is over.
In the previous round, the Borisov team passed Albanian "Elbasani" on penalties and will receive about 700 thousand euros for participating in European competitions. For the not-so-wealthy Belarusian club, this is a significant amount of money.
