Fortune teller from Bykhov, who defrauded trusting people of 150 thousand rubles, received a harsh sentence

The woman operated in this manner for nine months. She invented the presence of a "crown of celibacy" or a curse in her victims, performed fictitious rituals, and gave false promises to help with debt recovery, writes BelTA.
Five people became victims of the fraudster. One of the victims believed so much in the accused's "gift" that she gave her all her savings, sold her apartment, took out loans, and pawned gold. The total damage from the perpetrator's actions exceeded 150 thousand rubles.
The Bykhov District Court found the woman guilty of committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code.
She was sentenced to six years of imprisonment to be served in a general regime correctional colony, as well as a fine of 200 basic units (9000 rubles).
The woman did not admit her guilt and appealed the verdict, but the appeal was dismissed, and the verdict entered into legal force.
