In Bykhov district, a fisherman almost drowned after falling out of a boat

On the evening of July 22, employees of the Water Rescue Society and the Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued a man on the Chigirinskoye reservoir near the village of Chechevichi, Bykhov district. The incident was reported by accidental passers-by who saw a man fall out of a boat into the water.

When rescuers arrived at the scene, approximately 100 meters from the shore, they found the man wearing a life jacket. He was holding onto a rubber rowing boat but could not reach the shore on his own.

Using a rescue board, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations brought the fisherman to shore.

It was later discovered that the resident of Kirovsk accidentally slipped while fishing and fell out of the boat. He did not require medical attention.
