Searches continue in Polotsk district for a man who disappeared during spearfishing. It turned out that he is a prominent Minsk urologist, head of a department at the Emergency Hospital, writes Onliner.
48-year-old Henadz Shchatko is a well-known Minsk urologist, head of a department at the Emergency Hospital. He also sees patients at the private medical center Sante.
The disappearance of Henadz Shchatko was reported by the search and rescue squad "Phoenix", and missing person flyers are also being distributed on social networks by his acquaintances.
It is known that on June 11, the doctor went with friends to relax at Lake Vyadzets. This is a popular and picturesque spot for tent camps, water tourism, and spearfishing, located 45 kilometers from Polotsk.
The reservoir itself is quite large and deep: the area of the water surface is about 4.61 square kilometers, the average depth is about 4.5 meters, and the maximum reaches 12.2 meters.
Around 5 AM on June 12, the man went spearfishing and disappeared. "Police officers, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Water Rescue Society are working at the scene. We believe he is still alive and are doing everything possible to find him," write the missing man's relatives.
