Russian cartoonist killed in broad daylight in Biała Podlaska. He participated in Belarusian protests
A taxi driver from Belarus, who brought the killers to the crime scene, got scared and tried to escape into the Belarusian consulate.
According to police information, the attack occurred on June 15 at around 10:00 AM on Queen Jadwiga Street. An unknown assailant began shooting at a man, after which he fled, writes the Telegram channel DzikMedia.
After the incident, the head of the city police declared an alert for personnel. Roadblocks were organized in the city, vehicle checks were carried out, and search operations were conducted.
Soon after, an unknown man tried to hide from the police in the Belarusian consulate in Biała Podlaska. He wanted to jump over the fence but didn't make it.
It later turned out that he was a taxi driver from Belarus who had brought the killers to the crime scene. He was later threatened with a pistol, got scared, and tried to escape into the Belarusian consulate.
Meanwhile, the identity of the deceased became known. This is Siarhei Skrapetski — a Russian blogger, cartoonist, and satirist, born in 1981. In 2021, he emigrated to Poland, escaping persecution in Russia.
He traveled around Europe and conducted various actions, ridiculing Putin's regime and its allies. On this year's Russia Day, he held a similar action in Berlin.
