A football night at the World Cup (well, not really night, it was 23:00 in Belarus) kicked off with the Netherlands vs. Japan match.
The Netherlands led 2:1 with goals from Virgil van Dijk and Crysencio Summerville, but the Japanese managed to draw the game 2:2 (Keiichi Nakamura and Daichi Kamada scored).
Notably, three out of four goals were scored by English Premier League players. Van Dijk played for 'Liverpool', Summerville plays for 'West Ham'. Kamada plays for 'Crystal Palace'.
Then Côte d'Ivoire defeated Ecuador 1:0. The goal was scored by Amad Diallo from 'Manchester United'.
Towards morning, Sweden routed Tunisia — 5:1.
Four goals for the Swedes were also scored by EPL players: a brace by Yasin Ayari ('Brighton'), goals by Alexander Isak ('Liverpool') and Viktor Gyökeres ('Arsenal'), and also a goal by Martin Svanberg from German 'Wolfsburg'. For Tunisia, Omar Rekik from Slovenian 'Maribor' scored.
Today at the World Cup, there are two more matches: Spain — Cape Verde (19:00), Belgium — Egypt (22:00).
