Soncahraj Belarusian Tradition Festival Held in Bialystok Region PHOTOS
The festival gathered collectives from Gdansk, Warsaw, and Podlachia. The organizers aimed to present not a staged, but a living, authentic Belarusian culture through joint singing and dancing.

The Soncahraj Belarusian Tradition Festival in the Bialystok region took place on June 12 and 13. As reported by Reform.news, the festival unfolded at two venues simultaneously.
The festival began in Bialystok's central square — Kościuszko Market. On this day, the female vocal group BARVY (Gdansk), the male group KASARY (Warsaw), and the children and youth dance group PADLASKI WIANOK (Bialystok) performed.

On June 13, the celebration continued in the village of Wiluki (Gmina Dubicze Cerkiewne). Among the invited guests were BARVY (Gdansk), KASARY (Warsaw), and the Podlachian Belarusian folklore studio ŻEMERWA (Studziwody).

The festival program included live instrumental music, traditional songs and a communal singing gathering, as well as dance workshops and dancing.

The Soncahraj Belarusian Tradition Festival presents authentic Belarusian groups, as well as various activities — traditional Belarusian dances and communal singing. It was created by the Tutaka Foundation with the special goal of developing a genuine, non-staged Belarusian culture.
