"Sovdep-style vacation at the price of five stars in Turkey". A Belarusian woman sparked a discussion after criticizing a sanatorium on Lake Naroch
A Threads user with the nickname versache_guci vacationed at a Belarusian sanatorium on Lake Naroch and was disappointed. A three-day stay for a family with a child cost almost a thousand dollars, and she believes it wasn't worth the money. Both the sanatorium itself and other users responded to the woman, writes "Salidarnasts".

"If you want a Sovdep-style vacation at the price of a 5* in Turkey, with food like in a factory canteen, and construction under your windows, this is the place for you," wrote the dissatisfied user. "Almost $1000 for two adults and a 4-year-old child, for 3 nights. Included: pool 1.5 hours and three meals a day with minimal choice of normal food. Complete disappointment. Sanatorium "Pryaziarny".
In the comments, some Belarusians did not share her opinion:
"Don't tell fairytales. The food there is excellent. And the sanatorium is top-notch."
"I've been vacationing there every year for six years straight. Everything satisfies me. This year, regarding food, I personally and other tourists did have questions. And "Plisa" has dropped positions in food, and even "Alfa Radon". But there are some deeper processes here (follow the global situation). But about the canteen — you've exaggerated, that's not true. Service — top, territory — top."
People write about friendly staff, free parking upon arrival, and well-maintained grounds.
"Regarding construction — the sanatorium operates year-round, and it's great that they don't stop and are improving. In summer, there are so many entertainment programs for children. Also in summer, there's a wellness program for children with wonderful procedures! Almost all types of transport can be rented. The restaurant on the shore — pure bliss!"
However, there were also critics.
"$315 per person per day... Have they lost their minds? We used to go, and liked it. But now the price for three meals a day and a tiny pool is too much. And when they finish building the outdoor pool, will the price be $500 per person?"
"How good it is that no one ever talked me into going to our sanatoriums with their Soviet-era service. Plus all the weather swings we've had in recent years, mosquitoes. But in Turkey, it's good for that kind of money. And the sea is warm, and the sand is hot."
"I would gladly dive into Sovdepia, but not for a thousand bucks, of course."
"I vacationed cheaper in the Canaries, with flights, in a wonderful hotel."

Sanatorium: "We are not trying to copy the all-inclusive hotels of Turkey"
The sanatorium itself also responded in the comments. On its behalf, they expressed regret that the vacation did not meet expectations.
"You are absolutely right in the following: we are not trying to copy the all-inclusive hotels of Turkey. These are fundamentally different products."
The sanatorium explained that it is undergoing planned renovation and there is indeed noisy construction, and apologized "if we overlooked this point when booking vouchers."
Regarding nutrition, the reaction was as follows:
"Our guests arrive with gastritis, pancreatitis, after surgeries — agree that in a sanatorium, not only the assortment but also quality and dietary safety are important. At the same time, we always have an attractive selection: fish/meat/poultry, vegetables, fresh greens, soups, porridges, compotes, fruits, pastries."
As for the cost, the sanatorium noted that
"this is a very delicate topic: you either agree with it, or you choose a level more suitable for your income (the choice of sanatoriums in Belarus is large)."
