"The signing of the deal is scheduled for tomorrow. Immediately after the signing, the Strait of Hormuz will open to everyone," US President Donald Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social.
Trump also said he expects to destroy Iranian highly enriched uranium after signing an agreement with Tehran.
"At the appropriate moment, when everything calms down, we will go in and remove the nuclear dust, buried deep beneath powerful granite mountains, [...] and destroy it, either in Iran or in the United States. We look forward to long-term cooperation with Iran and the entire Middle East," Trump wrote, adding that he hopes he will no longer have to use force against Iran.
"I hope the process will be fast, easy, and without complications. Otherwise, we can always use an alternative method. I hope we won't have to resort to that again," the US President stated.
Before this, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghai reported that the signing of a memorandum on the start of the crisis settlement between the US and Iran would not take place on Sunday, but it might happen in the coming days.
