Belarusian paddler Uladzislau Kravets became the European champion in canoe and kayak sprint in Portugal. The athlete won a gold medal in the K1 (kayak single) 1000 meters event.

In the final race, the Belarusian showed an excellent result — 3 minutes 24.311 seconds, which allowed him to confidently overtake all rivals and secure first place.
The silver medal went to Hungary's Bálint Kopasz, while the bronze was awarded to Portuguese athlete Fernando Pimenta.
This is Uladzislau Kravets' third gold medal at European championships, but it's the first time he has become a continental champion in an individual discipline.
