Poland is introducing flight restrictions in the airspace along its borders with Belarus and Ukraine. The new rules will come into effect on June 10 and will be valid until September 9, reported the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency.

For security reasons, flights in the east of the country will be restricted to an altitude of up to three kilometers. Passenger aircraft will not be affected by these changes, as they usually fly much higher.
During nighttime — from sunset to sunrise — a complete flight ban will be in effect in the designated zone. Exceptions are made for military aircraft and specific flights coordinated with the military.
During the day, military, medical, and search-and-rescue aircraft, as well as some other special flights, will be permitted to operate in the zone. Under certain conditions, flights of individual drones will also be allowed.
According to information from Polish aviation services, the restricted zone will extend along the entire border of Poland with Belarus and Ukraine and will, in various places, reach 20–50 kilometers deep into Polish territory.
Authorities warn that entering this zone without appropriate permission will be considered a violation of aviation law.
