Tsikhanouskaya visited the Belarusian stand at the International Book Fair in Warsaw
Today, stand 11/5D of the Belarusian independent publishers "Volnaya Belarus" (Free Belarus) at the International Book Fair in Warsaw was visited by Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, to whom we gifted the book by Dorota Michaluk "Belarusian People's Republic 1918—1920: At the Origins of Belarusian Statehood," — wrote on his Facebook page Yaroslav Ivanyuk, head of the project and publishing house "Kamunikat."

"This is very important in the context that the leader of the Belarusian democratic forces brought a number of documents concerning the relations between the Belarusian People's Republic and the Ukrainian People's Republic from her visit to Kyiv. Professor Dorota Michaluk's book, at the end of 2025, by the initiative of the Horki district prosecutor's office, was included in the list of books banned in Belarus. Meanwhile, it is one of the most important contemporary works on the birth of Belarusian statehood. This is research that changed historians' approach to understanding the BNR and broke the stereotype that Belarusian statehood was supposedly "created by the Bolsheviks," — wrote Yaroslav Ivanyuk.
