In Russia, a saleswoman stole lottery tickets worth 5.5 thousand dollars. What was the outcome?
A 49-year-old woman worked as a saleswoman at a lottery sales point. For over a year, she systematically stole game tickets, hoping for a huge win.
According to the Primorsky Krai Prosecutor's Office, from January 2025 to February 2026, the woman stole more than 700 tickets, the total value of which is estimated at approximately 400 thousand Russian rubles (about 5.5 thousand dollars).
However, the dream of a rich life was shattered: there were no winning tickets among them.
Instead of a jackpot, the woman was charged with embezzlement of someone else's property on a large scale.
