Coordination Council Found No Grounds to Refuse Cooperation with Sumsub
The Election Commission for the elections to the Coordination Council, after an additional check, found no grounds to terminate cooperation with Sumsub, the company responsible for voter verification, reported the press service of the Coordination Council.
"The technical team led by Pavel Liber, together with Election Commission representative Elena Prikhodzka, conducted an additional risk assessment related to the use of KYC provider Sumsub, due to recent public discussions and media publications.
Within this review, the team examined publicly available information, official company statements, its security and compliance practices, as well as additional explanations provided by Sumsub. According to the assessment results, no facts or circumstances were found that would require the termination or suspension of cooperation with the company," the statement says.
It is also noted that Sumsub works with thousands of clients worldwide in regulated business sectors, complies with international data protection and information security standards, including GDPR requirements, and regularly undergoes independent audits in the field of information security and regulatory compliance.
Finally, it is stated that the elections to the CC will take place within the previously established dates, from May 11 to 17, with voting scheduled to begin today at 22:00. However, for some reason, it did not start at the appointed time.
