A Teenager Drowned in a Lake in Mazyr District

A tragedy occurred on Lake Kozenskaye near the village of Drazdy in Mazyr district — a teenager died, reports the Water Rescue Society.

According to preliminary information, on May 16, a group of teenagers was resting on the shore of the lake in a place not designated for swimming. At some point, the 15-year-old boy decided to enter the lake, jumped in, went underwater, and did not reappear on the surface.

After this, searches began. Rescue services were called to the scene. After some time, employees of the rescue organization found the boy's body approximately ten meters from the shore at a depth of about three meters and retrieved it from the water.

All circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated.
