"Museums Night—2026" — poster of (near) literary events in Minsk
On May 16, the traditional "Museums Night" will take place, and literary museums in Minsk will be no exception.
The Yakub Kolas Museum, Maxim Bahdanovich Museum, and Literary Museum have prepared diverse programs: from a shadow theater based on the works of Pyotr Vasuchenka to performances by Ilya Shynkarenka, the Ales Los Capella, and the "Barysaŭski Trakt" band, writes "Budzma".
The Maxim Bahdanovich Literary Museum this year chose a cosmic theme, so the event program is titled "Star Time". Visitors are expected from 5 PM, when children's entertainment begins.
For the youngest, there will be a showing of Tatyana Kritskaya's play "The Timid Mouse" and an interactive program by writer Katerina Khadasevich-Lisova — "Vukhutsik's Cosmic Adventures".
You can participate in visual poetry masterclasses, complete creative tasks to develop imagination, and listen to poems that have flown into space.
At 7 PM, the main program begins:
* musical performances by the folk project "BRAMA MORA" and Ilya Shynkarenka;
* fashion show by the "Tikota" brand and its creator Katerina Bezyrukava;
* intellectual entertainment — the quiz "Touch the Stars" and the quest "Perform the Impossible";
* mono-performance by Aleksey Kulakov "Citizen of the Moon" and shadow theater "Star Bicycle" by museum staff (based on the works of Pyotr Vasuchenka);
* lecture by astrophysicist Alexander Murashko and creation of a zodiac module with Maria Buhayova;
* "literary cosmography" course by Mikhal Baranouski on finding your stars, so you have something to read if you decide to undertake an interstellar journey.
"And that's not all!" — intrigue museum staff and invite you to visit them.
Admission ticket — 20 rubles and 15 rubles for children (under three years old — free)
Address: M. Bahdanovich St., 7a

The main event of the evening at the State Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature will be the "Literary Auction". Each visitor is invited to join in creating a unique prize fund, where every book can become a true treasure.
What needs to be done? Choose a book in Belarusian that you want to put up for auction (it must be in good condition, without damage).
Send a photo of the book to the museum's email: [email protected].
Come up with a mysterious description — one that makes everyone want to have this book in their library, but without the title and author's name.
After receiving confirmation by email, visit the museum to hand over the book for auction preparation and receive your starting capital. On the festive evening, the museum will have its own currency — "litera".
On May 16, come to the museum and witness how this literary adventure will unfold! Perhaps the main lot of the evening will go to you!
