It became known about the release of political prisoner Uladzimir Dudarau — former vice-mayor of Mogilev
In 2020, he headed Viktar Babaryka's regional headquarters and immediately received a huge sentence for "fraud" and "abuse of power".

Uladzimir Dudarau
49-year-old Uladzimir Dudarau has been released. He was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison for abuse of official powers (Part 3 of Article 426 of the Criminal Code) and fraud (Part 4 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code), but claims against the former official only appeared when he became the coordinator of Viktar Babaryka's regional initiative group.
Dudarau worked for a long time in the Mogilev City Executive Committee, and in 2018-2019 he was the city's deputy head for construction and housing and communal services.
In 2020, Dudarau, who had by then already left state service, joined Viktar Babaryka's team. He was the highest-ranking official (albeit retired) among the banker's coordinators.

As a result, Dudarau was reminded of his old "sins" dating back to 2008. The investigation proved that he had committed apartment fraud for ten years.
The former official was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison. He served his sentence in a penal colony in Babruisk. Due to the fact that the sentence was formally non-political, Dudarau could theoretically fall under amnesties, which is why he was released a little earlier than his appointed term.
