The most popular book from the new four-volume set about Belarus has been named
This is — «Belarus: Tragedy and Truth of Memory: The Genocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War», said Ales Karlukevich, director of the «Belarus» publishing house, writes BelTA.

The book is published under the editorship of Andrei Shved, has 175 pages, and costs 14 rubles.
«Almost 80% of the books in the series, including the reserve, have already been sold from the publishing house. The most popular book became the one dedicated to the topic of the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War. About 800 copies of this book still remain,» — noted Alexander Karlukevich.
The four-volume set includes the following books: «Belarus: Tragedy and Truth of Memory: The Genocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War», «The History of Belarusian Statehood: From Ancient Times to the Present Day», «Belarus: Cultural and Spiritual Heritage», «Modern Belarus: Country and People».
Speaking about the entire series, the publishing house director emphasized that he wanted these books to help readers — regardless of whether they are Belarusian or residents of another country — form an idea about Belarus.
Historian Igor Marzalyuk added that no stage of the country's development, no period of our history, has been omitted from the books.
«There are no torn boundaries here. And this is a fundamental Belarusian approach — it is distinguished by integrity and organic unity. This includes no one here ignoring the Soviet past, not ignoring the state created on a Soviet foundation,» — he emphasized.
