Officially, it had not been reported until now what the results of the campaign for re-registration of religious organizations were. However, the 'secret' was revealed by Alexander Lukashenka himself, who, meeting with Graham on May 15, stated:
«In Belarus, there are 850 Protestant communities, 20 missions and 5 educational institutions. Therefore, your denomination is very widely represented here».
Apparently, he announced data prepared by the apparatus of the Commissioner for Religious and Nationalities Affairs.
'Christian Vision' calculated: before the re-registration began, according to information on the Commissioner's website, there were 931 communities of all Protestant denominations in Belarus. If the data provided by Lukashenka is complete, it means that 81 organizations did not pass re-registration.
Also, before re-registration, there were 21 Protestant missions in Belarus, meaning one of them is now closed. And only the number of educational institutions has not changed.
