Poland's Minister of Foreign Affairs Met with John Cole

The meeting between Radosław Sikorski and the US President's Special Envoy for Belarus took place in Warsaw.

"'Important matters,' — this is how Sikorski commented on their meeting on X, but he did not provide details of the discussion, writes DW Belarus."

After each visit to Minsk by US Special Envoy for Belarus John Cole, the Belarusian authorities release political prisoners.

Among the lists for release, on more than one occasion, has been political prisoner, journalist, and activist of the Polish diaspora in Belarus, Andrzej Poczobut, whose release the Polish side is seeking; however, he remains imprisoned to this day.

Previously, pro-government Belarusian media stated that the political prisoner would only be released after a high-ranking official from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or the Minister of Foreign Affairs himself, Radosław Sikorski, arrived in Minsk.
