The downpour on Friday, May 8th, paralyzed traffic in Minsk. According to Yandex service data, road congestion reached a maximum of 10 points by 5:00 PM. The most difficult situation is in the Frunzensky district, writes Office Life.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that seven road sections in the capital were flooded. Due to the high water, 23 routes – 11 trolleybus and 12 bus – were temporarily stopped. Transport has now resumed, but this has so far had little impact on the overall traffic situation.

The main forces of rescuers and utility workers were deployed to several points:
- Zhdanovichi shopping center: clogged storm drains are being cleared there;
- Lyutsinskaya, Mazurova, and Labanka streets: water is being pumped out here, and rescuers had to manually pull out two cars from Mazurova and Labanka;
- private sector: in Frunzensky and Moskovsky districts, water entered the territory of households.

Despite the serious precipitation, there were no casualties, and no trees fell either.
