The girl was quickly taken to the hospital. According to medics, her life is not in danger, and the child is currently under the supervision of doctors and receiving the necessary assistance.
After the incident, city services intensified their work on catching stray animals. The administration of the Savetski district of Gomel, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the police, and the enterprise "Spetskommuntrans" joined in resolving the situation. Specialists examined the area and found a place where the dogs might have been. By the morning of May 9, two stray dogs had already been caught, but the search continues.
Chairman of the Gomel City Executive Committee Uladzimir Pryvalau urged residents to report packs of stray dogs to the dispatch service or via the city chatbot.
He also reminded that residents are not recommended to feed stray animals. According to him, this can make them dependent on people and increase the risk of aggressive behavior.
