Fire near Chernobyl not yet completely extinguished

As of May 9, the fire in the Chernobyl exclusion zone on the Ukrainian side has not completely died down, although its intensity has significantly decreased, noted the publication "Flagshtok".

Residents of Khoiniki, Bragin, and Loev districts were in the greatest danger on May 7 and 8.

On those days, numerous mass events were held among children and adults in honor of Victory Day; the smell of burning was felt in the air, and haze was visible.
