A Belarusian woman found a "Belarusian island" in China

Anastasia, a Belarusian woman, moved to the Chinese city of Guangzhou, but even there she found "a piece of her homeland" — local "Gates of Minsk" and a store similar to Mark Formelle. The girl shared her discoveries on Threads, writes Blizko.by.

The buildings, which the girl mistook for the Gates of Minsk, turned out to be part of a historical architectural ensemble on Shamian Island. Here, former European mansions from the colonial era stand alongside the modern skyscrapers of the metropolis.

There are no Mark Formelle brand stores in China, and the boutique the author mistook for the Belarusian chain is called Mark Fairwhale. This is a well-known international brand of casual and designer clothing, founded in 2001 by designer Mark Cheung.
