The "Kuznica" Checkpoint on the Polish-Belarusian Border Connected to a New High-Speed Road
Since July 27, the Polish border crossing "Kuznica" has been officially connected to a new four-lane road towards Białystok. Access to the border has now become much more convenient, reports the "Poland-Belarus Border" channel.

Currently, 15.8 km of modern road has been built from the Kuznica checkpoint to the Sokółka interchange. Further, from Sokółka to Białystok, traffic currently uses the existing old road. Construction of the entire route continues and is expected to be completed in 2028-2029.
At the traveler service area (MOP Wojnowce), a buffer waiting system for vehicles before the border will be operational in the coming months.
The following has been prepared here:
- more than 800 spaces for trucks;
- 40 spaces for vehicles carrying dangerous goods;
- 210 spaces for passenger cars;
- 10 spaces for buses.
Connecting the checkpoint to the new route significantly improves transport infrastructure on the Polish side of the border. After the opening of traffic through the Bruzgi-Kuznica border crossing, the route will be ready to accommodate freight and bus transport.
