FIFA's revenues from the 2026 World Cup will reach a record $15 billion
Donald Trump stated that the USA is ready to host another championship.

FIFA expects a record $15 billion in revenue from this year's World Cup, significantly exceeding the goals set before the tournament, writes The Guardian.
Originally, revenues were expected to be $11 billion. A significant share of this increase comes from hospitality services (VIP packages) and ticket sales, especially through the secondary market with its high prices. FIFA takes 15% from the buyer and another 15% from the seller on the secondary market.
Such financial success could also increase the USA's chances of hosting another championship in the near future. The next World Cup open for bids is the 2038 tournament. On Friday, at a reception, Donald Trump reaffirmed his country's desire to repeat this experience. "You should choose the United States of America again," he said. "This time we will leave Canada and Mexico out." The USA has also held talks with FIFA regarding hosting the Club World Cup in 2029.
On Saturday evening, VIP packages for Sunday's final between Spain and Argentina, taking place in New Jersey, were still available on FIFA's ticketing portal. Tickets for the "trophy lounge" (premium lounge) were selling for $34,500 per person.
