Agro-holding in Mogilev region to be liquidated, where Lukashenka once cursed over "shitty cows"
The "Kupalauskaje" agro-holding, operating under Lukashenka's Presidential Affairs Department, will be liquidated, and the agricultural enterprises that were part of it will become independent legal entities. This decision was made following a meeting with Alexander Lukashenka, dedicated to the development of the Mogilev region, writes BelTA.

Anatoly Isachenka, chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee, announced the decision. According to him, instead of the holding, separate farms will operate with their own managers, staff, territory, and settlement accounts. The agro-holding itself will be abolished, and the enterprises will be transferred to communal ownership.
In the near future, the farms "Novaharadziščanskaje", "Liubiničy-Ahra" and "Vialikija Slavieni" will become independent.
At the same time, Lukashenka's Presidential Affairs Department will continue to implement projects already started. In Shklov, the construction of a modern dairy plant and an agro-service complex will continue. After their commissioning, these facilities are also planned to be transferred to communal ownership.
As Isachenka noted, the previous work of the holding allegedly allowed strengthening the material base of the farms, but now an independent management model is considered more effective for their further development.
According to Lukashenka, the agro-holding was initially created to provide raw materials for the new dairy plant in Shklov. However, the conceived format of work did not meet expectations, so it was decided to return to the independent functioning of the farms. At the same time, they will continue to supply milk to the new plant in Shklov, meat to the Mogilev meat processing plant, and flax to the modernized flax processing plant.
The agro-holding "Kupalauskaje" was created in June 2017 according to Decree No. 232 "On the establishment of an economic partnership". It included the united joint-stock companies of Shklov district — "Amkodor-Shklov", "Vialikija Slavieni" and "Novaharadziščanskaje".
It was planned that the holding would become a platform for introducing modern agricultural technologies, but these hopes were not justified. It was in one of the holding's farms in March 2019 that a widely known incident occurred when Lukashenka drew attention to a "shitty cow" and called the farm where it was kept "Auschwitz". After this, the then Minister of Agriculture and Food Leanid Zayats and Vice Prime Minister Mikhail Rusy lost their positions.
In 2020, the State Control Committee noted that measures for the development of "Kupalauskaje" turned out to be ineffective, and the main performance indicators of the enterprise were deteriorating. The enterprise repeatedly had to receive state support.
