Major contract for the supply of Belarusian potash signed with India
India has signed a major contract for the purchase of Belarusian potash, which has become an important event for the global mineral fertilizer market, reports Russian "Kommersant".

The agreement between Belarusian Potash Company and Indian company IPL provides for supplies of standard potassium chloride in 2026 at a price of 383 dollars per ton.
Experts note that contracts with large buyers such as India and China usually serve as a benchmark for the entire global potash fertilizer market. The new price is 34 dollars per ton higher than the previous one, so it could become a catalyst for further price increases for potash.
Against this background, China's contract for potash purchases remains one of the cheapest in the world — 348 dollars per ton. China is taking advantage of the favorable situation, actively increasing purchases and accumulating stocks in ports after the completion of the sowing campaign.
At the same time, a different situation is observed in the nitrogen fertilizer market. After price increases caused by supply problems due to the cessation of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, producers faced an oversupply in warehouses, which led to a decrease in prices for certain types of products.
