Blogger who moved from St. Petersburg to near Minsk complains that not a single developer has contacted her for advertising
The blogger posted about this on Threads, and the audience got up in arms. But she successfully promotes herring and Nissan.

The blogger doesn't understand developers
"A bit about situational marketing in Belarus. I am a blogger. For half a year I was choosing an apartment, visited various developers, meaning I was a real client with money.
How many residential complexes (RCs) wrote with a commercial offer / bought advertising from me / offered cooperation? Zero," the blogger complained on Threads.

The Threads audience did not share the blogger's opinion
"To put it even more briefly - the marketing departments of residential complexes employ competent specialists who understand that an audience that subscribed for a waffle maker giveaway is not their target audience," wrote one commentator, garnering almost 2600 likes in 24 hours, making his comment the most popular in the thread. And this is despite Alena's own post having only 137 likes.
Others explain the lack of interest in her from developers by the fact that the housing market in Belarus is so well-promoted that a blogger with 100 thousand (Alena has 121 thousand on Instagram — NN) subscribers won't be able to offer them anything.
"Especially considering that you are not a niche blogger who can truly sell a product effectively and has a targeted audience," writes another commentator.
"What did you want to offer them? Apartments are already selling like hotcakes, no need to even advertise them," wrote another commentator.
"Alena, I quickly glanced at your blog: a bunch of motley advertising, fake engagement, the blog format itself is about everything and nothing. You can fantasize all you want, but people aren't fools. What kind of cooperation from a developer could you expect?" asks another girl.

One of the commentators noted that the blogger should have shown initiative herself when looking for an advertiser.
"You didn't say you were looking for an apartment. You bought it and announced the fact. Or should every real estate sales manager have recognized you and made a royal offer?
Well, perhaps you're not that cool, or the market has enough experts with an established reputation, who are trusted much more than a blogger who advertises pasta one day, stockings the next, or some other unknown paid nonsense," wrote the user.

Who is Alena Hlod?
The woman is originally from Russia. When she was 24, she got married and moved from Saint Petersburg to Belarus. She has lived here for 13 years.
Alena actively started her blog in the summer of 2017, when she moved with her family to Zaslaŭje. At that time, the young mother on maternity leave talked about construction.
As Alena herself tells, the blog grew little by little, and she began to get acquainted with other Belarusian bloggers and held her first joint giveaway. According to Hlod, those bloggers already had income from advertising, but none of the Belarusian brands wanted to cooperate with her, because at that time 80% of her audience was from Russia.
Therefore, she began to actively work on building up specifically the Belarusian audience.

After some time, she indeed found Belarusian subscribers and began receiving advertising offers from local brands.

Alena Hlod indeed has a lot of advertising
Alena's advertising appears quite often. She advertises cosmetics, ice cream, herring, car dealerships, promotions at "Euroopt", items from OZON, and even a Nissan dealer in Minsk.
Currently, the blogger has 121 thousand followers on Instagram, almost 21 thousand on Threads, and 5400 on Telegram, where Alena shares her thoughts and personal life.
Her latest post on her Telegram channel is dedicated to the situation in St. Petersburg, where her parents live. And it is quite truthful.

"What a disgusting time we live in, and as if without hope for the excellent peaceful life we once had," the blogger complains, describing the news from St. Petersburg.
"My parents live in a place that is constantly under attack. They have even gotten used to it, but the situation is only getting worse, becoming more dangerous; whoever read the news knows," she wrote on her Telegram channel.
