At the same time, the inflation forecast has improved: it is expected to be at 6.4%, which is 1.1 percentage points lower than the previous estimate.

Also for Belarus, the current account deficit, according to IMF calculations, will be 2.7% of GDP. The unemployment rate will remain at 2.9%.

For 2027, the fund forecasts Belarusian economic growth of 1%, inflation at 6.2%, and a current account deficit of 3.4% of GDP. Unemployment is expected to remain at the previous level — 2.9%.
