A Belarusian saw Tsikhanouskaya in Kyiv and made an unexpected request. She asked him to message her privately
Photographer Siarhei Liudkevich, who lives in Warsaw but needs important documents transferred from Kyiv, posted a request on Threads for Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya to assist with this. And he received a reply.
«Sviatlana Heorhiyevna, I understand that you currently have an important mission in Kyiv and you certainly don't have time for this. But I'll still take the risk to ask (nothing ventured, nothing gained).
I have my diploma and certificate in Kyiv (with an acquaintance), and sending them by mail is scary — I won't be able to restore a Belarusian certificate if it's lost.
If by some miracle there's an opportunity to transfer the documents to Warsaw — I would be very grateful,» the Belarusian wrote.
After some time, a reply appeared under this post from Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya's official Threads page:
«Messaged you privately».
Comments under the post range from «Wait, you could do that?» to «She's busy — taking photos with important people».
