The fire occurred yesterday evening in the village of Lesnyaki.

During the extinguishing of the fire, rescuers found the charred bodies of two men in the house. It is assumed that the deceased are brothers (39 and 44 years old) who lived together, the Investigative Committee reports.
An investigative and operational group worked at the scene.
Preliminary investigative actions showed that the fire originated in the living room — on a sofa where the body of one of the men was found.
According to neighbors, the brothers abused alcohol and systematically smoked indoors.
Several versions of the fire's cause are being considered, the main one being careless handling of fire while smoking.
