Tsiotka's Works to Be Published in Latin Script, As During the Author's Lifetime
Skaryna Press publishing house is releasing the works of Tsiotka (Aloiza Pashkevich) in its "Vilnius Series". The book, timed to coincide with the author's 150th anniversary, will be published in Latin script, writes bellit.info.

At the beginning of the 20th century, Aloiza Pashkevich was one of those who actively joined the tradition of using Latin script in Belarusian publishing. Her first collections of poetry were printed in Latin letters.
The publication includes the author's poetic and prose works, written for adult readers. One of the book's goals is to restore the original appearance of a number of texts that, over the century, became increasingly less recognizable due to orthographic and ideological editing, the publisher explains.
The collection also emphasizes Aloiza Pashkevich's feminist beliefs, to which the preface by the book's compiler Uladzislau Harbatski is dedicated.
The book can already be ordered through the website of the Skaryna publishing house.
The presentation of Tsiotka's "Tvoraŭ" will take place during the conference "Cultural Heritage of Aloiza Pashkevich (Tsiotka): A Space for Dialogue between Lithuanians and Belarusians" in Vilnius.
September 25 at the Marija and Jurgis Šlapelis House-Museum (Pilies g. 40).
