27-year-old tester from Kobryn sentenced for "facilitating extremist activity" upon returning from Poland
Vadzim Bahdanau worked as a taxi driver, and then moved into the IT field.

Vadzim Bahdanau was born in 1999 in the Brest region, in the village of Teuli in the Kobryn district. Later he lived in Kobryn.
After finishing school, he went to college to become a track layer. Later he received a Bachelor of Technology and Engineering degree in ground transportation systems.
For some time, Bahdanau worked as a taxi driver in Russia. However, judging by his job search ads, he later moved into the IT field and started working as a software tester. According to his social media, he moved to Poland in 2024. The last mentions of his presence in Poland date back to the second half of 2025.

He was detained at the end of last year upon returning from abroad and placed in a pre-trial detention center. The Brest Regional Court sentenced Vadzim Bahdanau under parts 1 and 2 of Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code of Belarus, for facilitating extremist activity.
It seems the young man was sentenced to a penal colony — he never reappeared online.
