House damaged by fire in the center of Minsk covered with a temporary roof, major repairs accelerated
Major repairs of the house at 9, Lenina Street in Minsk, which suffered from the fire that raged here on June 28-29, are planned to start in 2027. This became known during an on-site meeting led by the chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, Vladimir Kukharev, reports the "Minsk-Novosti" agency.

As of today, the installation of the temporary roof has been fully completed, which will protect the building from leaks during heavy rainfall.
The administration of the Leninsky district of Minsk noted that after the fire, the schedule for major repairs of the house was reviewed. In 2026, it is planned to develop design documentation, and the repair work itself will begin in 2027.

Currently, builders are engaged in emergency recovery work: dismantling damaged structures and clearing the attic space to start building a permanent roof as soon as possible.

According to "Minskstroy" information, about 1,400 cubic meters of construction debris have already been removed, the demolition of non-restorable structures has been completed, and a temporary roof has been installed.
The first elements of the new rafter system are planned to be delivered to the site on July 9. Builders are working daily from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM to complete the restoration of the house as quickly as possible.
