«This is already open use of firearms and grenades». Berlin gripped by mafia war of Turkish-Kurdish gangs
In Berlin, the conflict is intensifying between four Turkish-Kurdish criminal groups fighting for control over the drug business.

According to information from BILD, these are the Daltons, Ezgins, Caspers, and Sirinler gangs.
Car shootings, grenade attacks, and business attacks are becoming more frequent in the city. In 2025 alone, 515 shooting incidents were recorded in Berlin.
The head of the German Police Union, Manuel Ostermann, stated that the level of violence continues to rise. «Today, these are no longer brawls, but the open use of firearms and grenades,» he said.
Police warned that a practice originally seen in Sweden, where young people are hired for attacks for money, could take root in Germany. «If someone offers 1000 euros to throw a grenade into a shop window, sooner or later someone will agree to do it,» he added.
In response to the escalation, Berlin police have formed special units Ferrum and Telum.
In three months, Ferrum initiated 260 investigations and confiscated 18 combat pistols, ten traumatic and signal pistols, 50 knives, baseball bats, and tasers.
