In Threads, a Minsk resident published a photo of her bandaged fingers and shared that she got injured at the metro exit. The incident occurred at the "Uschod" (Vostok/East) station, Minsk-Novosti report .

"Today, at the exit of the 'Uschod' metro station, my fingers got trapped by the adjacent door. Blood appeared, and at the sight of it, I began to lose consciousness right in the underpass," the girl shared her story on the social network, which was read by more than 70 thousand users.
— And a big thank you to everyone who cared and helped me: someone bought water, someone treated my hand and wiped the blood, metro workers called an ambulance.
Special thanks were addressed to the girl who had a bottle of ammonia with her. She stayed with the injured person until the ambulance arrived.
In the comments, people wished the girl a speedy recovery and shared their own stories of assistance on public transport.
"Yes, our metro workers are golden! They constantly accompany me — I've been losing consciousness since childhood."
"My condolences to you. In Minsk, everyone usually holds doors for each other, because they slam hard due to drafts," wrote a user, to whom the injured girl replied that she always does so, but suggested that this time "another person couldn't control it."
"Once I felt bad at 'Jubilejnaja'. I asked a girl for ammonia. As a result, one gave me water, another gave me cotton wool with ammonia, and they persuaded me to call an ambulance. Before its arrival, they led me to the police room, laid me on a bench. And very carefully handed me over to the ambulance staff.
"When I was traveling by train in Germany, an elderly woman was exiting and fell — and everyone just walked by (by the way, I don't know German, English is at a basic level). I helped as much as I could. Of course, everyone was shocked when I opened my suitcase and took out a first aid kit (a Belarusian habit, so to speak). So, what the police did: they asked this woman if I had beaten her. I'm glad things aren't like that in Belarus."
The Minsk Metro confirmed the incident and stated that employees acted within their authority and called for medical assistance.
— The metro doors were immediately inspected and a corresponding report was drawn up. The doors and their mechanisms are fully functional. It was established that the passenger placed her hand on the edge of the door, and at that moment, a young man exiting through the adjacent door opened it completely, which led to the injury, — specialists explained.
By the way, the enterprise's website contains one of the safety rules: "Be careful when passing through 'METRO' type doors. Please hold closing doors so as not to injure the passenger behind you. You should also consider that the passenger in front may not hold the door, and you could be injured by it. Do not allow your fingers to get caught in door gaps."
