According to Vladimir Orlovsky, head of the State Customs Committee, after the modernization of the "Brest" and "Kozlovichi" points, the authorities will continue to develop border infrastructure in other directions as well.
The next facility will be the "Berestovitsa" crossing point on the border with Poland. Construction of a platform for an electronic queue is planned to begin there in the near future. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
Another such zone is planned to be created near the "Hryharouschina" point on the Latvian direction. Construction should begin in summer and be completed next year.
Changes will also affect the Lithuanian direction. Near the "Kamianny Loh" point, there is already a platform at a logistics center, but it is not always sufficient during large queues. Therefore, the authorities want to build a separate zone specifically for an electronic queue. Construction is scheduled to begin next year.
Such platforms allow for pre-registration of transport in the electronic queue system and create more comfortable conditions for drivers and passengers while waiting to cross the border. The SCC believes this will help reduce the load on the approaches to the crossing points and make the process more organized.
