Another bus denied entry from Belarus to Lithuania due to new sanctions
This refers to a bus that departed from Minsk yesterday at 22:00. After inspection, the bus was not allowed into Lithuania, reported the Telegram channel Infotrans Media Belarus.

Passengers spent about 3.5 hours at the border. Later, for an additional fee, the driver of another bus agreed to take them to Vilnius. They arrived at the airport at approximately 5 AM.
Recall that yesterday morning, May 5, a regular bus traveling from Minsk to Kaunas, which departed from the 'Tsentralny' bus station at 04:00, was turned back at the 'Medininkai' border crossing.
— The bus was not allowed through the border by Lithuanian customs officials. We were told that we wouldn't go further because of the fuel, nothing else was explained. We had to call a taxi to Vilnius from the nearest gas station on the Lithuanian side. I have no idea if the bus was allowed through later: I had to rush for my flight," one of the passengers recounted.
In early May, amendments to the Law "On Restrictive Measures in connection with Military Aggression against Ukraine" came into force in Lithuania. They extended existing sanctions against Russia and and Belarus and introduced new ones.
One of the new measures affected fuel. It is now prohibited to import fuel from Belarus or Russia in standard vehicle tanks if its volume exceeds 200 liters. The restriction will be valid until December 31, 2027.
As reported by Lithuanian customs, if the 200-liter norm is exceeded, the vehicle will not be allowed into the territory of Lithuania and the European Union and will be turned back to the country of departure.
In case the driver disagrees with such a decision, sanctions may be applied to them, including the possible seizure of the vehicle.
