The former Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic became the Minister of Finance in the government.

Ihar Brylevich has been elected as the new Deputy Chairman of the upper house of parliament. Prior to this appointment, he held the position of Deputy Chairman of the permanent commission on legislation and state building.
Brylevich was born in 1981 in Pinsk. He graduated from BrSTU (world economy) and the Academy of Public Administration (anti-crisis management). He began his career at the "Kamerton" plant, after which he moved to public service in the Pinsk District Executive Committee, where he rose to Deputy Chairman.
He headed the "Nevel" branch of the Pinsk Meat Processing Plant and the Pinsk District Executive Committee. He was a delegate to the VI and VII All-Belarusian People's Assemblies. He was the head of the Brest Regional Department of the "Belaya Rus" party.
In his new position, Brylevich replaced Uladzislau Tatanovich, who was earlier relieved of parliamentary duties due to his transition to the government as Minister of Finance.
