Minsk Surgeons Spent Ten Hours Removing a Complex Tumor from a Young Man
In the Minsk Scientific and Practical Center for Surgery, Transplantology, and Hematology, a complex operation was performed on a 28-year-old patient. A tumor was removed from his abdominal cavity. The neoplasm was growing into other organs and tissues, writes Times.by.

The operation lasted ten hours. The surgeons completely removed the tumor, preserving the inferior vena cava, aorta, and adjacent kidney, and performed plastic surgery on the left ureter.
The case was extremely complex, and the operation could have led to damage to the nervous plexus and problems with the legs. That is why 15 specialists participated in its preparation and the patient's treatment, including a neurosurgeon, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, cardiac surgeons, urologists, and vascular surgeons.
