U.S. Chargé d'Affaires to Ukraine to Resign Over Disagreement with Trump's Ukraine Policy
U.S. Chargé d'Affaires to Ukraine Julie Davis is set to leave her post in the coming weeks. According to the Financial Times, after this, she plans to conclude her diplomatic career, to which she dedicated almost 30 years of service.

It is reported that the reason for this decision was the diplomat's disagreements with Donald Trump, as well as her dissatisfaction with the reduction in support for Ukraine from the American administration.
"Julie Davis, the acting U.S. ambassador in Kyiv, is leaving the State Department, frustrated by Trump's diminishing support for Ukraine," wrote Financial Times correspondent Christopher Miller in a post on social network X.
Julie Davis has served as the U.S. Chargé d'Affaires in Kyiv since May 2025. Sources for the publication claim that she has already informed the State Department of her intention to resign.
It is also noted that Davis was disappointed with her role and certain leadership decisions, including personnel appointments, which she learned about from press reports.
Julie Davis's resignation continues a series of resignations by American diplomats involved in the Ukrainian direction. Previously, the former ambassador Bridget Brink also left her post, and similar reasons for her decision were reported at that time.
