In Zhlobin, a fragment of a reinforced concrete parapet, approximately 0.4 by 3 meters in size, collapsed from the roof of a nine-story residential building constructed in 1993, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported .

The incident occurred on May 8th in the 19th microdistrict of Zhlobin. The debris fell onto the attached single-story 'Kapeechka' store. As a result, the roof and suspended ceiling of the commercial establishment were damaged. There were no casualties, but the store's operations have been temporarily suspended.

According to the preliminary version, the cause of the collapse was the natural wear and tear of the building's structures.

After the incident, a working group was established in the city under the leadership of the deputy chairman of the district executive committee. Specialists plan to inspect all parapets of the building and decide whether they require additional reinforcement or complete replacement.
