An apartment with roof access from the bathroom is for sale in the center of Minsk. There's no other like it in the city

A non-standard two-level apartment in a "Stalin-era" building on Komsomolskaya Street has been put up for sale. It features mansard windows, ceilings reaching five meters at their highest point, and also a fireplace.

One of the key features of this apartment is its own access to the roof from the enormous bathroom. Realt.by writes about what this unusual dwelling looks like.

In terms of interior and scale, this apartment more closely resembles a serious country house — it has two floors, almost 170 square meters of space, and its own private access to the roof. The agent selling it jokes that it's an option "for the rich and beautiful."

But however much this dwelling may resemble a private house, it is located on the fifth floor of a six-story Stalin-era building at Komsomolskaya, 29 (on the section between Nezalezhnastsi Avenue and Marx Street) in the very center of Minsk. The house was built in 1917, and in the 2000s it was reconstructed — mansards were added and elevators were installed.

The total area of the two-level apartment is 167 square meters. The living space accounts for 111 meters. On the first level there is a living room combined with a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a dressing room.

The apartment features parquet flooring and tiles. The ceilings are multi-level, with spot lighting. The ceiling height at its maximum points reaches five meters. The interior doors are made of solid wood.

In the kitchen, the appliances include a hob, oven, extractor hood, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave.

On the second level, there is a master bedroom, another living room, a dressing room, and a bathroom.

The bathroom is comparable in size to a full-fledged living room — it occupies 17.5 square meters. It features a large bathtub, toilet, and hygienic shower. The room has a window and a door leading to the roof — creating a unique balcony.

From here, this is the view.

The apartment was valued at 459 thousand dollars. The price per square meter comes out to 2,747 dollars.
