Traditional "Cherry Festival" to be held in Hlybokaye

The International "Cherry Festival" will take place in Hlybokaye these days. Belarus's "cherry capital" is once again expecting guests and participants from various places to jointly celebrate a festival of art, folk traditions, and a good atmosphere, reported the press service of the Ministry of Culture.

The main events will take place on July 24 and 25. On these days, Hlybokaye will become a center of attraction for those interested in culture, creativity, and folk customs.

The main celebrations are scheduled for Saturday, July 25. At noon, the official opening of the festival and the gala concert "Cherry Blossom of Friendship" will take place at the concert venue near the lake.

One of the most anticipated events presented is the traditional "Cherry Wedding" ceremony, which will take place in the square of newlyweds. Culinary competitions will unfold on the central square — the "Cherry Pie Taste" contest, where participants will demonstrate their skills and original recipes.

For lovers of folk art, theatrical and musical programs have been prepared. Spectators will be able to watch the comedy "Petrushka" performed by the "Lyalka" theater, and also attend the competition for performers on button accordions, harmonicas, and accordions called "Cherry Tunes".
