Russia launched satellites for Belarus, Iran, and Ecuador into orbit

The "Soyuz-2.1b" rocket with the "Fregat" upper stage launched satellites for three countries — Belarus, Iran, and Ecuador — into orbit, "Roscosmos" press service reported.

The rocket launched on Sunday, December 28, at 16:18 Minsk time. The launch was from the Vostochny Cosmodrome.

The main payload of the rocket was the "Aist-2T" stereoscopic Earth imaging satellites number 1 and number 2. They were placed into orbit approximately an hour after launch. In addition to these satellites, 50 other spacecraft were delivered to orbit.

"Among them are scientific and technological satellites from organizations in Russia and friendly states (Iran, Belarus, Ecuador)," Roscosmos clarified. Other details were not reported.
