18-year-old Belarusian footballer debuted for Warsaw's "Legia"

Forward Erik Mikanovich took part in a match for Legia's main team for the first time in his career.

Erik came on as a substitute in the 82nd minute in a match of the 4th round of the Polish Ekstraklasa (top league of the Polish championship) against "Radomiak".

The match ended with a confident 5:0 victory for the Warsaw team.

Mikanovich joined Legia's academy in August 2023. With the U19 team, he became the Polish champion three times. For the reserves last season, he played 17 games, scored one goal, and provided four assists.

In Europe, the Belarusian representation in the Polish championship is the largest. Five of our compatriots play in the Ekstraklasa (top league).

Ilya Shkurin plays for "GKS Katowice", Artsiom Akatau is listed for the "Motor" from Lublin squad, Hleb Kuchko for Płock's "Wisła", Maksim Kononov for Białystok's "Jagiellonia". Three Belarusians play in the second division. Many Belarusians play in lower divisions.
