The commander of the AFU Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdy, reported the strike in his Telegram channel, noting that on the eve, August 8, the S-400 had launched six missiles. «For three hours, the S-400 position in Gelendzhik, on the coast, directly next to the catacombs, burned and smoldered,» wrote Brovdy.

In addition to the S-400, according to the SBS commander, four more Russian air defense objects were destroyed on the night of August 9. These include the Tor anti-aircraft missile system in the area of Pudovy, Rostov Oblast, the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile-gun system in Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai, the Podlyot-K1 radar station in Golovatovka, Rostov Oblast, and the Kasta 2E2 radar in Latonovo, Rostov Oblast.

In addition, Brovdy announced the destruction of three vessels of Russia's shadow fleet in the Black Sea — an oil tanker and two dry cargo ships.

This is not the first attack on this area recently. On August 3, as a result of a Ukrainian drone falling on a beach in Arkhipo-Osipovka (part of the Gelendzhik urban municipality), seven people died and at least 40 more were injured. The settlement is located approximately 22 km from Putin's palace.

The complex, known as «Putin's Palace», is a facility with an area of 17,700 square meters on the Black Sea coast approximately 20 km from Gelendzhik.

According to Alexei Navalny's investigation, the territory houses a restaurant, a helipad, an ice palace, a church, an amphitheater, a guesthouse, and a gas station, as well as an 80-meter bridge.

In the main building, according to the investigation, there is a swimming pool with an aquatic disco, a spa center, saunas and Turkish baths, production facilities, a library, and a music lounge. A no-fly zone has been established over the complex, and the adjacent approximately 7,000 hectares, as claimed in the investigation, belong to the FSB.
