Belarus warned Poland about a supposedly planned terrorist attack on its territory
The Belarusian side informed Poland about the possible preparation of a terrorist act on Polish territory. Relevant information was handed over at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus during a meeting with the Chargé d'affaires of Poland in Belarus, Krzysztof Ożana, the MFA press service reported .
Reportedly, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs received information about the possible terrorist attack from law enforcement agencies within the framework of agreements on cooperation in combating crime.
According to the information provided, the alleged organizer of the planned attack is a person who is in Poland and was previously convicted in Belarus under several articles of the Criminal Code. It is reported that Polish authorities recently deprived him of additional protection and the right to reside in the country.
The Belarusian side claims that the target of the possible attack could be the minor children of a Belarusian activist living in Poland. The motive is supposedly revenge for the woman, according to the Belarusian authorities, not sufficiently contributing to the preservation of the appropriate status for this person in Poland.
The representative of the Polish diplomatic mission was also informed that additional information on this issue, if necessary, would be transmitted through channels of interaction between the competent authorities of the two countries.
